Snoh Aalegra was born and grew up in Stockholm, Sweden and is of Iranian descent. Her influences include Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Nina Simone, and Lauryn Hill for her writing. She has worked with such artists as John Mayer, Drake, Common, RZA, No I.D. and more. Snoh first signed to a record label at the age of 14. She writes or co-writes most of her songs. Prince mentored her for 2 years before his passing in 2016.
